The Six Actions High - Performance: The reflection of Maximum Growth in Action

Oct 26, 2023

I want to introduce to you the 6 actions of High-Performance! Having previously defined what High-Performance is as what it is to be a high-performer it's now time to have you look at where you stand within that spectrum of high performance. I think taking a deep dive into these six actions is now something that's very poignant and to detail each point one point at a time will serve to cement this concept for us further.

These actions truly exhibited those who are consistently high performing, someone who has a very strong intention for what they want to do day in and day out. The commonality across all of my clients that I've worked with; and  how I personally aspire to be myself is, to know where I am, what I've got to be doing each and every day.

I'm ticking all the boxes in all the different elements of my life. From my wellness and physiology, to heavily focusing on my psychology. I'm making sure I'm controlling my thoughts and my thinking, and supporting that with vitality and calmness and stillness practices.

The purpose of what I do is to help actualize other people's potential, but also my own personal goals are also very important due to my highly ambitious nature. It's of great important for me to be a good husband, a good father, a really good dog dad, and keep charging forward with my own ambitions - but never at the expense of the people who I love the most.

I still want to be hyper aware and hyperactive for my clients at all times as we work together to forge fantastic new skills and outcomes. I want to support then as they really begin to accelerate skill acquisitions and most importantly goal acquisitions.

That's all part of having purpose which is of course the number one high performing action. I've also mentioned physiology. I've mentioned psychology, and a big part of working in my own business and working in business is having a presence that leads people to want to build a rapport with you and trust you.  Being hyper-productive is the only way to pull all these elements together, and making sure that you're fitting all these things into the rare 24 hours that we get each day.

Being persuasive, making sure those persuasion skills are available to you when it is time to do business, particularly business that you want to do, and business you want to win because it's part of your goal set or it's part of your purpose and your passion and your pursuit of your own, of your own manifestation and actualization of your highest potential. And then to round that our with a presence that honors your experience and hard work and willingness to accept challenge is the icing on the cake so to speak.

So let's go fully into the deep dive of what these six actions are and what they represent, and then we can help you to acquire them or, or sharpen them and polish them as need be.

1) Purpose

Purpose serves as the governing principle for everything we do. While you can have various purposes in different areas of your life, knowing your overarching life purpose is crucial for providing direction, focus, and making a meaningful impact on the world. It's akin to a GPS, a compass, or a Google map that guides your focus, actions, and direction, allowing you to move forward. Purpose helps you make decisions, fosters self-awareness, instills discipline, and provides a daily anchor. It is also the driving force behind motivation.

In my coaching style, I don't heavily emphasize external motivation. I don't rely on external factors, such as workout classes, to get revved up. I arrive motivated because I understand why I'm doing what I'm doing; there's a purpose behind it. This purpose-driven approach applies to how I run my businesses and engage in relationships. Everything I do has a purpose, and I find that problems tend to arise when I lose sight of that purpose or when I'm following someone else's purpose that doesn't align with my own. Therefore, having a clear and identifiable purpose is the foundation of the six actions of high performance.

2) Physiology

A well-functioning vessel (your body) is essential for optimal mental and emotional functioning. Achieving balance in your physiology, including maintaining a healthy body composition, proper nutrition, sufficient sleep, and metabolic health, is crucial. In the realm of wellness, metabolism takes center stage. Metabolism encompasses all cellular processes in the body, and its efficiency affects both internal and external functioning.

3) Psychology

Psychology is the third action of a high performer, encompassing mental toughness, resilience, and leadership skills. Strong psychology is closely linked to your physiology. A robust physiology contributes to self-reliance and the ability to embrace discomfort, which is integral to developing a resilient psychology. A strong psychology enables you to be self-aware, control your emotions in challenging situations, and consider your mind as your most powerful tool.

4) Productivity

Productivity is often discussed in corporate and organizational contexts, but it's equally crucial for high achievers. Achieving self-satisfaction comes from efficiently completing tasks and making the most of your time. High achievers, like us, find fulfillment in getting the job done effectively. Furthermore, productivity sets an example for others to follow and ensures that we excel in various aspects of our lives, including work, relationships, and personal responsibilities, creating a foundation for balance.

5) Presence

Presence is an intriguing concept due to its somewhat intangible and subjective nature. It can be observed when you walk into a room, and people sit up and take notice of you. When you're in public, people may admire you without knowing precisely why. Presence is particularly significant for natural leaders among high achievers. As high performers, we seek to excel, be productive, and set examples, and having a strong presence plays a pivotal role in achieving these goals. Presence includes confidence, self-awareness, self-confidence, and it emanates from you. People can see it in your posture, communication, and choice of words. It's magnetic, attracting the right opportunities.

6) Persuasion

As mentioned earlier, many high achievers naturally become leaders. Our strong presence, rooted in our physiology, productivity, and group mentality, often leads us to say the right things at the right times and remain composed during challenges. We calmly and methodically navigate problems, turning them into routines. As a result, people start following our example. Persuasion, then, becomes essential for leaders to bring those who may not be on board into alignment, especially when we need everyone moving in the same direction. Persuasion helps build rapport, foster trust, and encourage mutual trust, contributing significantly to our success as high performers.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this information. I believe the challenge of performing at a high level then you're used to is such an amazingly empowering tool. At any age or stage, to know what you want and be willing to pursue this helps us to find happiness, purpose and learn the lessons that life has to offer us.
